Where did you get the post & what are they made of? Are they adjustable?

Posts are alum tubing. 1-1/4" od and 1-1/8" od. Purchased at local salvage yard. New tubing.

Used that system as a pattern for my alum. ones that store on the arms. I just didn't want something else to have to store and the alum ones are a lot smaller dia and not subject to getting brittle and bending from the sun. It is an ingenious idea and very effective in taking all the load off the awning arms. In fact, I don't even tighten the adjusting nuts on the arms, I just leave them loose.

While we were in FL, a man with a new motorhome wanted to buy mine. Ended up making him a set and sent them to him. He called Fri and said he got them installed and just loved them. I made an extra set that I would sell. Just pm me for details. http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...albums636.html

I too made a set from the pvc example. I used an old telescoping pool cleaning pole. I cut it in half, added a number of adjustment holes, added the pvc saddle, put tennis balls on the bottom of each for footing, painted the poles white and ready to go. Gonna give them a try this weekend.

I do like the self-storing ones however and if I ever build another set, that's they way I'll go.
