Power inverter consumption?

I have parked my trailer at my house, and I have it plugged into my AC (battery is disconnected) in order to power the smoke detector, and some ultra-sonic rodent thingies. Just wondering though, the power inverter seems to be humming quite good, and is warm. Does the inverter use quite a bit of power itself? Wondering if it makes more money sense to just leave it un-powered until I'm ready to use it.

Thank you -

IMO I would just disconnect power all together till you are ready to go. We use Koenders bait stations around the house, garage, quonset and trailer.

Bait Stations, Rodent Control, Rodent Traps, Skunk Traps, Raccoon Traps, Live Traps
