Powerwinch Motorized folding camper winch

The winch on my 2012 Rockwood pop-up would not work when I began opening for the season the other day. I though it was the battery so I bought a new one. Checked the fuse and that's ok. No broken or loose wires. How would I be able to tell if the switch has gone bad or maybe the circuit breaker is bad? Any help would be great, thanks!

switch

With no more info than what is here, I would say you might have a bad "rocker switch" on the tongue jack. Mine went bad on my Passport and drove me crazy trying to figure it out. Rocker switches are cheap and easy to install.

I had a similar problem with mine. I remembered an old auto starter trick from my youth. I tapped on the motor housing with a wrench several times and it started working. Apparently there is a bad spot on the armature and would occasionally land there. This got me through my trip and I replaced it when I got home. I plan on taking the defective motor to a shop to see if it can be repaired for a spare. Just a thought before doing a lot of troubleshooting.
