Propane?

My recent trip all over hells half acre, posed a question in my head...

What do people do to refill their motorhome propane tanks?
If parked somewhere for a decent amount of time.
My HW is propane only.

I have (2) 30 lbs bottles which I only use for Grill, Heat, and HW lasts me one season. When we go for a long time 7 or more days I take a 20lb bottle just for grill, I have never run out even in cold weather

On my Class A I installed an extend stay and carried extra 20lb tanks, they were easier to get filled then moving the coach

Kenny, that's a pretty good question. Although I don't own a MH or stay in extended stay campgrounds, I've read where some of these type CG's have deals set up with mobile propane delivery companies.

That really wouldn't apply to staying out in the middle of nowhere, but may could be of help if in an extended stay campground.

We just made a new subforum for this type of camping, and your question may could be better answered there:

If you do have to break camp and get a propane cylinder refilled, this thread may give you some ideas on where you might could do this:

Propane?

I've found, that while most places will refill a PORTABLE cylinder, not all are set up to do auto propane. ( different connector, and goes by volume not weight). Works like a gas pump....

Around here, rental yards have propane......All kinds of tools, heaters and such...
Push come to shove, I'd rent something that came with a tank......In Arizona campground, they come around with truck if you sign up at office

I've ordered this...Click image for larger version

This will help with the three places I tried to get a fill, but their nozzle wouldn't fit.
