Pull out sofa bed is uncomfortable

I have a 2016 Sabre 330CK. The living room couch folds out to a sofa bed using the couch cushions as part of the mattress. Once it is converted to a bed, the sleeping area is not level and very uncomfortable.
This is the only photo I have of the couch, unfortunately it is not in the bed position.
Has anyone done some type of modification to level out this sleeping area.

That's why you put the kids / grandkids on it. They can sleep anywhere once they are tuckered out.

I have used mine several times and put a heavy quilt down to sleep on and keep my head on the uphill side and sleep like a baby.

Replaced main matress with Sleep Number and take original for fold-out. Old matress actually more comfortable on fold-out.

My sofa does not look exactly the same as yours but it sounds like they fold out the same and are not very comfortable/uneven. I got a memory foam mattress topper that goes on the sofa sleep when it is used. The topper is either 1.5 or 2" thick. I am able to fold it in 1/2 and then tuck it behind the sofa during the day when the sofa is being used as a sofa, not a bed. My sister sleeps on the sofa when she camps with me and she is quite comfortable with the mattress topper in place.

We too have a couch with a sofa bed ... don't think anyone thinks it is comfortable as a bed ... it is horrid ... when we have company, we use a queen size air bed with a built in pump and a mattress cover ... put it on floor in front of sofa ... very comfortable ...
