Thanks Noel for checking in band did get better around 9 pm but lots of nosy tonight. We may need to scan some more freq's for something better but will try 7.255 again Wed night. Lou (KC3FFW) got in late for a bit, just think band was not that great. You had a good signal at the end and we had several different check in's.

Opened tonight for first time at 8pm EST but band had lots of nsy, called again at 9 EST had some good contacts will call again Wed night at 9:00 pm EST at 7.255.

Wednesday night at 9PM is my ARES/RACES net on 2 meters; but it only lasts about 10-15 minutes. I will be on battery (emergency) power, but switching to shore power does not take but a second.

I will check in right after that net secures.

I only get in here about once a week, so missed the first nets. I will try and listen on Tuesday and Wednesday. All band capable here. Certainly 40 would be best. I think an email distribution list would be the best way to handle this.. (I am jim@sracing.com)

Did not miss anything tonight never heard anyone tried several times with no answer back. I will not be able to open net until Friday night due to lodge travel but if someone can call it please do so.
Also is anyone interested in doing a special event station at Goshen, I talked to FROG Bob and he said it would be fine if we did. I was thinking maybe running a dipole and use a vertical just for the fun of it.

On 7.255 now. (8PM EST) Calling for the net. No answers as of yet. Lots of static here though due to storms in area.

Fair contact with AI4SR. Nice signal, but lightning crashes made it a challenge. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Bob, your sig was strong here but static crashes were stronger. . Huge storm over Louisville when you checked in. (West of me.) I suspect with no storms you will be a 59 copy. I periodically work a net on 7.185 and at 9PM I can work most all of the US (including Alaska and HI on most nights. So 7.255 should work great. I was surprised that 7.255 was completely open from 8 to 9. A QSO on 7.252 and one on 7.258, but no QRM at all.

Hopefully see you plus others on another night.
