Question !

Hello Folks

Been awhile since I posted but I have dropped by sparingly to see the latest.

Last year I bought my first Travel Trailer which was a Surveyor Sport 220RBS, we have been camping at least once a month for the last 10 months...........

However since this was our first trailer ever, we knew very little about this great activity....... What we have learn in the process is that the trailer we got is just a little shy of what we now know we want and need for the future............

So ...................... last weekend we traded it in for a Wildcat Max 242RLX which we believe will do nicely for us as it's just my wife and I.

So my inquiry here is to tap you fine folks who have 5th Wheels, since this is our first 5th wheel, what things should we be looking out for in this new adventure with a 5th wheel?

The only initial question I have is how different is it to turn left and or right on streets compared to a Travel Trailer ...............

Thanks in advance for any advice and info.

See you Camping !

Should not be that different. Just need to swing out a little wider when turning. If you don't you could jump a curb. I think you will find that there is no sway that some TT can have. It took me a little time to get the backing up down. The reaction time is a little longer, it just doesn't turn on a dime. Good Luck and Happy Trails!

Congrats on the new Wildcat Max! You can always practicing turning in an empty parking lot to see how the 5th wheel reacts and adjust accordingly.
