I'd make sure the burner isn't lit when spraying anything in there.

You can get the screen at lowe's Home Depot etc.

This is the duct tape I was talking about. Can buy at the same places. It's for heating and air duct work.

Screen on the inside. I would like use the liquid spray and let dry out. Might be smart to have everything off on it. I would want to kill all I could and then replace cover with inside screen mesh.

Also screen water heater, A/C, bumper vents if bumper is on the unit, and furnace vents too. They are pictures of these mods on the forum.

When in doubt, I mention it to a couple of neighboring campers and they usually either offer to show me their setup or sometimes even help me. Being a newbie, sometimes I need to SEE it.
