Question - Long Term Campground in/new Washington DC

Good evening! Does anyone have any recommendations for long-term stay RV grounds in or near Washington DC? 30 amp/w/s. Desire is to commute to/from rail vice driving in and out of traffic. Work location would be near Crystal City.

Thanks!

I'm sure there could be cheaper but I love CHerry Hill Park in College Park MD. About 5 to 10 from a metro station (Greenbelt I believe)

I don't believe that Cherry Hill allows long-term guests (or maybe that's the Capitol KOA).

Pretty slim pickings- especially commutable. All of my options don't really allow long-term rentals.

Not sure what you consider "long term" but the Northern Virginia Regional Parks System has three nice campgrounds scattered around DC area. I have stayed at Pohick Bay RP in Lorton which is close to both Woodbridge and Lorton VRE stations, south of beltway. There is also the Bull Run and Algonquin Parks to the west by Manassas/Dulles areas close to both VRE and Metrorail systems. NOVA Parks is a Reserve America affiliate. Think 14 days is allowed. https://www.novaparks.com/parks/map-view

Also can try Fairfax County Parks. Nice campground called Burke Lake Campground, southwest of DC along the Fairfax County Parkway. They allow 14 day stays. Burke Lake Park CampgroundsÂ*- Fairfax County, Virginia

There is a camp ground inMD, sorry name change and dont remember new name. It is off 301, east on rt4 about 2 exits and north of rt4. Have stayed several times. Not bad, open all year and they told me not too far west on rt4 to Metro.

Cherry hill is any term but no rate advantage. Metro come directly to park.

All, thanks for the info. Looking at a 9 month stay. Short PCS for extended training and then off to the next local. Thanks!

If eligible, Solomons Navy Rec Center has long term. Not that far up route 4 to a metro station.

Stay at Ft Meade

Last fall I stayed at Ft Meade. If you are PCSing one of the military sites in that area probably has a FamCamp at a reasonable price and great amenities.
