Rambling Thoughts w/pics

It’s raining here in Gulf Shores today so sitting here in my Silverback I decided to bore you folks with my miscellaneous ramblings.

The sky this morning was interesting and the water in Little Lagoon was dead calm. I’ve never seen the water this calm in the Lagoon before.

Every time we come down here there seem to be more and more young people coming to this area for spring break. The local Walmart lays in a big supply of mini plastic cups and makes a special display of them along with packages of Jello. The also sell beer pong games, doesn’t include the beer though. All these young people make for good people watching on the beach.

One thing I always do whether at an RV park, state park, or COE campground is walk the campground to see the various rigs. I’ll bet many of you do something similar too. I think it’s interesting to see trailer designs that are unusual or unique but just didn’t catch on.

I've always thought the front cap on Alfa models was a neat idea. I guess not too many others thought so too.

I also thought Titanium with their cab over design was a great idea but they went out of business too. Heartland currently makes a Titanium edition but that doesn't seem to be very popular either.

I almost always see something on my walk around the RV park that makes me go, “hmmmm, I don’t think that’s right.” I’m pretty sure the TV antenna isn't supposed to sit on the roof like this during travel.

When I see things like this it always makes me jealous, plain and simple.

Oakman, your first picture is absolutely beautiful, and definitely card worthy, thanks for sharing it. Yes, I too walk around campgrounds looking at others sites to see what they have, you do find some very interesting things out there.

I once saw the South China Sea that calm as far as we could see... lasted 4 days that way, and then became a 15' pounding surf... The "scenery" pics were nice... too...

I'm a pro photographer and I don't have a pic like that first one, excellent work!

Great post, I'm in Miami this week paying too much for a hotel room wishing I was prepping my camper for a weekend.

Ditto that. In the middle of an 8-10" downfall. Our camper is snowed in.
Can't access the road it's on. Supposed to open in 2 weeks at our seasonal site, but I don't think so.

Thank you. I really shouldn't take credit for pictures like that since it is nature that provides the scene and all I do is stumble by and press the shutter button.

You should enter it. I looked again and really loved the perfect reflection and rays of sun. Wow. It really is stunning!
