Ready for Cooler Weather So We Can Use The Solar Again

I'm ready for some cooler weather so we can use our solar system again. I miss that free electricity and boondocking where ever we want without having to have 50 amp shore power for the A/C units.
Our solar/inverter system will run everything but it has its 1 limitation which is running the 2 A/C units. Oh well cooler weather is on its way.

What, no one else likes cooler weather and free electricity? You would if you lived in the summer heat of East Texas.

What did that system cost to have installed?

LOL installed it myself. I spent over $4500 on all the components and I bought quality one. I'm sure installation wouldn't be cheep at all. I installed the system over a few days. If I get a different RV I made the system to be relocated to another RV. I did spend more on it than I expected to but I also designed it to be expanded if I need to add more solar panels or battery bank. It will make 35 amps as it is and I've been able to use everything day and night like I am hooked to shore power.
I think install like my system would be a couple grand at my best guess maybe more or less.

I am interested in putting solar on my Sunseeker class C, but may not do it for a couple years. Very niche setup you have though.

Thanks gmacklem I have put it thru the gantlet this last fall/winter and it surprised me how well it did running everything off the inverter. 42" Flat screen TV, Blue-ray DVD player, surround sound, coffee maker, Convection Microwave, Stereo, even ran my fan all night blowing air on us along with the central heat, 4 door fridg. and all interior and exterior lighting. Was amazing to see how much electricity it made. Even on rainy days it was putting out 8 to 15 amps depending on cloud density. Amazing system! For those with weight concerns the AGM battery bank is 300# the inverter is about 20#, solar panels close to 100#, controllers/monitors and large 2/0 wiring about another 50# to 75# so weight added to your RV can be a concern for some. I have plenty of wiggle room with my RV as far as weight goes (CCC). My (CCC) cargo carrying capacity is 5317#s.
If a person can do the design and install their self then you can put together a pretty nice system using the best components and save thousands doing it.

WE love cold weather camping, no solar setup though. We have camped when it was 10 outside and 105 outside.

You sound like me I camp no matter what the weather is. Even when we can't go anywhere I'll move the 5er to the other side of the pasture and boondock. LOL Camping is camping to me no matter where it's at. LOL
