Recarpeting...?
Has anyone taken on the chore of re-carpeting their RV? More specifically, a 5th wheel. Mine is a Forest River/Cedar Creek.
I'd like to re-carpet the main living rug and not the portion that slides in and out with the slide out dining are slide out.
I think mine is glued in and fortunately it has no "finished" edge per se'.

Hope you get a lot of answers to your question - DW asked me about trading out the less-than-quality carpeting in our 38FL. Since it's only a year old, we've got a little time before we have to do it, but I know her - once it's in her head, it ain't long before she wants it done.
Hope you don't mind my tagging along with you on this one....

if you decide to undertake your carpet replacement please post your progress. We would like to change up the color scheme in ours, but don't know if this is something I would like to attempt.

We spent about 5 or 6 hrs cutting ours out and removing staples. TOWTA said NO MORE CARPET. It was not glued, but stapled. We like it much better, easier to clean, etc.

I found a lot in info on U tube regarding re-carpeting RV's. Some of the posts were a bit wordy, to say the least. I'm now contemplating LVT...Linoleum Vinyl Tile in a wood grain. Haven't made up my mind.
If I carpet, getting under the slide out overhangs is going to be the hard part.
Will advise further..............

We replaced some old, stained linoleum with the LVT wood-look planks in our 1st toy hauler. It looked really nice and held up to the loading/unloading of motorcycles. The biggest thing to remember is to cut a few of the "planks" and stagger them so they look more realistic.

At the factory, they lay the whole floor with limo. then they install carpet over it, most of it is staples they don't glue anything that I saw at the Rockwood factory they just even glue the edges of the limo. If I remember right.

We ordered our 8329 with "minimum carpet" and its the best option ever.
There is a bit of carpet in the slides, but the rest of it is the wood look vinyl so we can sweep it out with a broom.
Too bad there wasn't an option for "no carpet" as I would have specified that.

I do not think they put limo. over the slides just 3/4" plywood. My wife hates the carpet, looking into installing bamboo flooring. But I will do the slides also. As I told my kids they will have a nice trailer when I pass but no money. It's kinda a joke in our family......
