Registration Sticker Shock- AZ

Wow, Arizona took some camping money away. $1921 to register for one year based on MSRP of my FR Forester 2015. Ouch!

The oldest son found out it is rather spendy to register his PU when they moved down there.

In Georgia any RV is considered a "Luxury" item, and they tax you like your name was Trump!

You will have a noticeable limp coming out of the tag office.

Wow - guess we will keep Ohio tags

Only about $35 a year for anything from a pop-up to fifth wheel - all the same

Motorhomes are like cars though...more expensive but probably still under $100 like most cars

I think mine was $350 in Ca. Hard to believe that CA taxes on anything are lower than other states lol!!! Now the truck was about $600 so they definitely get their share!

Here in Texas, our license/registration fees came to $104. We would never be able to afford AZ fees, another reason I'm glad I live in Texas

I can buy a annual inspection fee of $50 for safety, the AZ is just a state cash grab. I believe Uhaul has all there trucks registered in AZ as well, i wonder if they get a bulk discount.

For me here in North Carolina the trailer is $16/yr for tags, state and local fees. The personal property tax which should go down each year was $70.

Camper in Mass:
Registration (Tags): $50.00 / year - Expires in Nov
Excise Tax: $25.00 per $1000.00 valuation $1956.00 first year for our 38FL - They use a sliding scale each year for the deprecation until 5 years and then it stays the same. Our 38FL after 5 years will still be over $300 year for Excise taxes.

Truck (Dually - requires commercial plates)
Registration: $268 / year
Excise Tax: (Same as camper) - truck was 1500.00 first year.
