Reimbursed for Warranty repairs

So here is my dilemma.... We have a brand new Sierra fifth wheel in a permanent campsite. It needs warranty work. There is a dealer 5 miles up the road but I have no truck right now to get it there. Delivery is too expense. $695 minimum. Dealer has no delivery. Has anyone paid mobile service for repairs and been reimbursed by Forest River?

i have, but it was a one off, traveling down the road, emergency situation. is the dealer a forest river dealer? or is there one you can entice to come to your site?

does someone in the campground have a truck that could help you out? Gas money and beer can get alot of help

Where are you located? We purchased a fifth wheel from RVW in Ohio and having it shipped to Florida. We also have no truck for the moment. Before purchasing I called some local mobile RV service places and found a few that will come out and do FR warranty work.

I have found mobile repair to be quite accommodating with any warranty work. I have had other rigs (not forest river) repaired by mobile service and they took care of everything including contacting manufacturer and getting reimbursed

Our second DOMETIC AC just took a crap, every 6 months. We are snowbirding in FL. We are on warranty, called dealer and told us to find a Dometic approved repair guy. Our local mobile R V repair guy is approved - so happy, have used this guy before and he's fantastic. Came today and he is ordering us AC #3. 5th wheel is one year old. We will have to pay service call, OK by us. Have done this before, we pay the bill, mail it to home dealer, we get money back. Minus service fee.

Contact Dometic. They will reimburse you for the mobile Rv service fee. FR will not but Dometic will.

I had body work done locally and FR paid me for the repair. You have to get approval first, then get the work done. FR will NOT pay sales tax (if listed on the invoice) on any warranty work done outside a dealer.
