remote control

Just purchased a 2015 Cardinal 3676. Since Forest River doesn't deem nessasary to provide an Owners manual I have had to rely on this Forum to discover how things work. My most recent question is, how to make the remote control work. I push the "ON" button and a green light comes on. Then I push any one of the 4 buttons that are labeled "slide", "awning", "patio light", and "bedroom Slide" and it's corresponding light comes on. Then I push "the extend" or "retract" arrow and all lights on the remote go out and nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong, or failed to do it in the correct order? Or is it like everything else with this 5th wheel, just poor quality control?

If yours is like mine you have to enter a code first. The default code on most is 0000. The remote made need to be charged up too.
