Replacing Awning

Just returned from a trip where our electric awning arms lowered while driving and ripped off part of the awning. Any ideas why this happened and has anyone ever replaced awning fabric themselves? How hard is it to do? The hardware all looks fine--just will need to replace the fabric in the tube.

Thanks.

I replaced my awning one time. It came with a brand new camper. Who knew?

Good Luck!

It's not really that hard with 2 people and 2 ladders or one very determined individual.
