Replacing sofa with recliners

Not sure where this post should be, hope it is ok here? We have a 27rlws TT and am getting rid of the air mattress sofa & wanting to replace with a reclining loveseat. We have 32" from wall to edge of plywood that lifts with slideout. Has anyone put recliners there that extend past that plywood onto the floor? We have an area rug on the floor and thought maybe we could put carpet pads on bottom of recliner legs, & it would slide over area rug when slideout is extended & retracted. The loveset weighs less than the sofa we took out.
Has anybody done this, and how does it work out?

Good call we took ours out and put in a comply lazy boy dual reclining love seat and end table on each side we gained a little storage and it's a lot moe comfy than that thing the called a couch
