The bottom line, using your battery decreases it's life, all other things being equal.

Taking a flooded cell to 20% has the exact same effect...Here's a flooded Trojan T105RE...note cycles @50% are about 1600 while 1000 @80%. No one wants to go to 80% because you lose about 40% of what you pay for in either agm or flooded.
Pay no attn to number of cycles between different brands...they are NOT comparable test procedures and represent test bench conditions and most will be lucky to get 1/2 of any claimed number in real life. 50% is the sweet spot between performance and practicality...but the reality is that between 80% and 20% you can do what your wallet can afford. another approach is to get a really big bank and discharge it less.

Is this where lithium batteries excel?

You can go deeper, without the harmful effects?

Yes...and many thousands more discharge cycles which is how they can be more economical. It's the cost per amp hour delivered over the batteries lifetime that determines true economy. But your coach has to live as long as your batteries to SEE that econmy.

I should also add that they promise to be good for limited space applications as well since you can choose ONE LION battery instead of two lead batteries of the same size and have nearly the same available amp hours. Much lighter too.

to the OP - I agree with you, at this point he needs to work with FR and the dealer and have a 2 way fridge installed. If 90% of the time he's boondocking - a residential unit is of no value.
