Rhino sewer hose doesn't fit in bumper -- suggestions?

Just realized my Rhino sewer hose doesn't fit in the bumper -- the elbow fitting is just a tad too big. What do folks use to store their hoses? I think I saw a thread about installing a large tube under the camper to hold the hose -- is that the most common solution?

I carry all the sewer hook-up gear in a plastic tote and store in the basement. I take the bin out at the end of each trip and open to dry out.

Either intall a PVC tube, or a 4X4 pvc fence post.. The last alternative is a have aplastic bin just for these hoses.

Welcome to the club. I can't get mine in either. my storage tube was a dealer install.

I too got a plastic storage box and put the hose in the box with other fittings, gloves and items I use in connection with black water cleaning. I also got a zipper closure wardrobe bag and put it in the bag before going in the box.

Before I installed the tube-type sewer hose container, I simply ground down the lugs slightly so that the rhino hose would fit in the bumper - still works fine with the ground-down lugs. On the other hand, I recommend using something other than the bumper as a storage place as eventually the inside of the bumper will rust and then abrade your sewer hose, causing holes. (holes in the sewer hose are not a good thing )

That's odd, mine fits but i have to line it up with the tabs in the corners of the bumper. It is snug but i do not have to force it in or out.

we mounted 6 in pvc pipes under the trailer, I put threaded rod thru the end in an x to keep the hose in but let air circulate. The ends we access from have the pvc screw in caps for easy access, I also pitched the slightly to the open end to help any moisture out. They are big enough that I can keep my adapters and couplers in the tubes also.

Thin wall PVC pipe from Lowe's

I used the thin wall 4" PVC pipe a threaded adapter, a plug, small boat cleat (Used as a handle). Used 4 SS clamps per storage pipe. Ground the lugs on the Rhino hose, cut the "Flap" ears off with hacksaw. All the elbows, clear hose fittings and other fittings are stored in a walmart
plastic storage box with a lid.

Mine fits if I line it up with the corners but I have to disconnect the bottom part of the elbow and I store that in a bag in a pail I keep in the storage compartment. Old Guys

It has to be lined up perfectly to fit. After I learned the trick someone mentioned being careful about the bumper edges being sharp. I'm still keeping my sewer stuff in a plastic bin because it works and is cheap.

Tie a piece of nylon cord on the end. Makes it easier to pull out.

Mine fit but it does require alignement of only one way and also when you put the caps on make sure that you let the air out, but it is a really nice hose I love mine.

pg_rider,

I'm just checking...does your entire Rhino Flex fit in the bumper, including the elbow? I want to avoid having to store any of it in one of the storage bins. I guess I could get a PVC tube like others have but I will need to add that mod later.

Thanks!

I bought a 14' piece of 4" pvc and 2 end caps. I cut the pvc to fit the hose. The rest of the pvc I cut in 1/2 long ways to use as a trough to sit the sewer hose in to run into where you dump. Just place something underneith to make it slope. No holes in the hose, just rinse the trough off let it dry if need then put in storage. It was much cheaper then buying off the internet.

This is what I've done to store the main Rhino sewer hose with all connections still attached.
The extra hose one is stored in the bumper.
