Rip coffee pot

Well I've had this Colman stove top drip style coffee pot a few years now. Was only $40 at wally. Well this morning half the water leaked out the sides. Guess I gotta find a new one. This one brewed pretty fast but wish it held up longer, too much plastic for the heat it takes on.

I've got an electric one for when we have hook up but need to find another stove top like this. Don't want presses, perculator or any k-cup things. Use to do coffee singles but I prefer a drip pot. Searched here and found a nicer looking Colman but $100 seems pricy, although maybe it would hold up better than mine. My $10 electric lasts for ever though lol

Any recommendations?

Did more research.... didn't mention above to keep coffee warm I use a lot of propane and it means more heat to the old unit which might have caused it's short life. Should mention. Many times I am the only one drinking coffee so it needs to stay warm a while. Or I should brew more each time I'm ready

Buy another stove top like I had and get a insulated carafe, would be about $60 total.

Or the nicer Colman that has its own burner. Found it on wally and target sites for 70 something with a carry bag. Still should get a carafe I think

I have that same unit and really like it. Seems most of our trips we have electric now, but it still gets used once in a while. Has held up good so far. How about another one like that and a large thermos to keep it warm?
Also, to keep mine warm, I use some gadget that I had (not sure what it is called), it is basically like a round metal hotplate with a wooden handle. I put that over the burner and then put the glass carafe on it. that way the glass isn't directly over the flame. It has worked good for us. I will see if I can find what that thing is called that I put between the burner and the carafe.

Well that wasn't too difficult to find. It is called a heat diffuser. This looks identical to what I use. As I said, I put it on top of the gas burner with the flame as low as I can get it and then put the carafe on top of it.

Because my BH likes a breakfast blend and I Starbucks French Roast we are using the K -Cup pot.

Well mine is the original Colman coffee pot which I like just fine and it's cheap. Coffey is gone be fore it gets cold. Just make another pot when needed. Later RJD
