road trip to nashville

I tried posting this under on the road but I must have done something wrong as there were no replies. And knowing there are plenty of folks traveling, I am sure someone can offer an update on our up coming road trip. We will be going from Cincinnati to Nashville. The route is 75 to 71 to 65. Any problems with the detoured traffic now?

If you are talking about the detour for the rock slide, that is on I75 north of Knoxville. Don't believe you would be going over there to get to Nashville

The big problem is that all the truck traffic from 75 has been re-routed to 65/71. I have not heard of any adverse effects though. There is plenty of construction in Nashville, but that can be easily avoided, since that is your destination.

Aquaman, you are right. We are concerned about added traffic. Hoping there isn't bad weather to add to the situation.
Thanks for the replies!

There is a RV park just outside of Nashville that offers bus service into downtown for $10 pp. worth doing , won't have to worry about parking or driving

Southbound 75 traffic is suppose to be open by the 14th, and at least 1 northbound lane is to be open by the 21st. We are heading to FL on the 24th, and back on the 2nd.

A lot of people use an app called WAZE which road information posted by users of the app. Most states, if not all have a 511 phone system to check road conditions. I have also listed a couple web sites that will have road conditions for all the states.

I don't know much about the roads you're traveling but WAZE is a great addition to a trip as it will provide road conditions, traffic, debris, etc.

Agree. I use WAZE daily when traveling for work. Good way to find where the cops are too. Thanks for the updates and advice.
