What campground are you seeing the launch from?

The OP lives in Orlando, I guess you could still see it from there? Or possibly was at Jetty park in Canaveral/Cocoa?
While doing a project in Palm Bay back in 2013, I rented a beachfront condo in Satellite Beach about 10 miles down the coast from Canaveral, for 6 months. I was able to watch 4 or 5 launches from my deck. It is something to watch.

Awesome! I was at the Kennedy Space Center a few weeks ago and missed a launch by 3 days and then another one a few days after we left.

Awesome picture. We live in Brevard county about 15 miles south of the Cape and we miss watching the Shuttle go up and also land.

We live very close to the cape and can see the launches very good. We never get tired of them but I really miss the shuttle ones.

Best kept secret EVER:
While built only for current NASA employees, KARS Campground has recently allowed retired military (requires Retired Military ID card and KARS annual membership - $15 - $20) to stay there.
https://nasaexchange.ksc.nasa.gov/kars/camping.htm
Right across from the launch pads and Cape Canaveral.

Not to be picky, but the launch pad used by Spacex is 39A. It was used by Former Apollo and Shuttle launches. It is the red arrow by the water. The arrow in the pervious post point to CCAFS lauch towers - sand bars in water actually - LOL. Most of the launch pads are along the water's (ocean) edge.
My other arrow is the Shuttle landing site (runway). The runway pointed to in a previous post is for the runway at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It was a "backup" along with many other locations for the shuttle, but only KSC and Edwards AFB were ever used.

The shuttle actually landed at White Sands Missile Range in NM once. It was quite an event. And watching them load the shuttle on the 747 and then fly low over Las Cruces was spectacular!!!!!

No worries, I was more intent to show where KARS was and not a tour of Kennedy.
