Rockwood 2nd year warranty for $150

Curious if anyone bought this and felt it was good value for the money or were most things excluded. I have not seen the paperwork on it but figured $150 was pretty cheap unless it has a lot of exclusions. tks

Depends on how willing and able you are to fix small problems, and what type of camping unit you have. Most of the systems on these trailers are relatively good, but little things can happen to them, that you may not know about, and info. on this forum can help you fix your own appliances, if your'e mechanically inclined. I purchased the xtra year on my unit, and never needed it. Most issues will show up in the first couple of months, under normal 1 year warranty. They won't cover cosmetic problems after 90 days, so be aware of that, and make sure drawer/door adjustments, scratches/dents holes and that type of stuff is addressed quickly. It's really not very much for the xtra piece of mind for another year; but I'm just saying I never used it. Than again, think how many years paying auto insurance, and never used that either.....Randy

It extends the original factory warranty (and everything covered by it) by the additional year. You can check your original warranty for the details. IMHO you gotta be nuts not to spend the $150.00 .

Never been an extended warranty fan, figured that if I can not afford to fix it I shouldn't have bought it. But for 250.00 (in my case (Sierra)) to extend the mfg warranty seemed crazy not to.

Definitely worth it. Please note that you have (I believe) 10 days from the day of purchase (or delivery) to submit the paperwork to FR.

YES.... I took advantage of it as well. Order TT from RV direct so I figure an extra year for $150 was well worth it in the long run.

I sent $150 in last week to FR, I am waiting to hear back from them. The dealer wanted 1,500 for the second year.

when I compare it to Yammaha's outboard YES warranty is like $2,000 for 2 years..the $150 is a great value for an extra year.

Does the dealer sell this or does it come directly from FR?

the dealer has nothing to do with the 2nd year warranty from the Factory - the money goes directly to Forest River so it comes directly from Forest River.

For the OP - its a No Brainer to get the 2nd year warranty - the first time you use it - it will pay for itself and if you dont use it then consider it an insurance policy that you never used.

A fill up for me : 135 dollars ... One year's warranty for the trailer at 150 dollars is a steal I got it WAAY after I purchased the trailer, but there were some extenuating circumstances, FR has been accommodating and understanding.

Folks, definitely get the second year warranty for 150 dollars ......

I agree it's a great deal, but how do you get it? Is there paperwork with the Manuel, do you contact FR? When we bought our FR popup 2 years I do not remember having this opportunity or else I would have gotten it then.
