Are there any other owners of this unit out there? If so how do you like it? We are buying it thru RV-Direct to be picked up in Elkhart, IN - had a good experience during the ordering process. Now wondering what to expect when we go to pick it up?
updating Rockwood Mini Lite 1809S - got word today the factory has our camper built - waiting for it to be released to RV-Direct so we can go pick it up.
Congrats New Camper are very exciting. Be safe on your trip there and back .On the way back take your time dont get in a hurry, pulling a camper that far is fun and a little tricky at time
We have a 2007 1809 (no S) and we love it! Had a few problems with it...but Forest River was great about fixing all issues! It is a great size for traveling and look forward to using it more now that my husband has retired!
Still waiting for a date for us to pick it up in Elkhart. This will be our third RV. Started out in 94 with a used 1/2 ton Dodge & a 23' Prowler TT. After trading the 1/2 ton for a 1 ton dually we got a 31' fifth wheel in 2000 traveling as far west as AZ & east as PA. Used it for 9 season's & after a move from AR to KS thought we were ready to stay home so sold the rig. Due to my wife's disability we found staying with family & or a motel we soon realized a RV made it easier & safer for her. So now we have downsized to a 1/2 ton Chevy pickup & the 18' FR Rockwood Mini Lite 1809S. At 75 years of age we figure this will be our last one.
As a side note we don't plan to spend 3 or 4 months in Quartzsite, AZ as we have in the past - come Jan I would still like to make one more trip out to Q'site!
We have our new Rockwood Mini Lite 1809S! Picked it up Monday - working with RV-Direct was a pleasant experience. Spent the last two nights in the Elkhart Campground (nice place) just to make sure everything worked - it did so now we are headed to Marion IN to visit family. Won't have a internet connection for a few days.
