Roof help
Hello all, new here and need help.
I have a 2014 forest river signature 5th wheel. It seems like my roof has failed. The skin has started to bubble, and the wood under it is very brittle. At each joint seem it flexes quite a bit. Not sure what to do. In some spots it feels like you are on the verge of falling through. It has not experienced a lot of rain, so I don't know what to think.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you for your time,
Jake

roof bubbles are not uncommon and do not necessarily indicate a failure.
I am curious as to how you know the wood beneath it is brittle

Can you post any pictures of the suspected areas?
Do you have aluminum or fiberglass exterior walls?
Do you notice any mold or water inside below the problem areas on the roof?

I'll try and post pictures. It's fiberglass sides. The reason I say the wood under the roof skin is bad, is because when I step on it it sinks in about an 1/8 of an inch and creeks and cracks real bad.

It sounds to me the wood delaminated under the roof coating. It is easy to tell you can feel it under the rubber roof. I had the same problem, looked fine but a 12x12 section was effected. I had to take it to the factory and have a whole new roof put on at a tune of 5400.00. They did fine a pin whole leak in the rubber that caused mine. Good luck with yours , I claimed it under Comp, on my insurance which they paid for except my deduction...

Are the sides or front cap delaminating? (bubbles)
Usually, the roof leaks and then the sides go.

Not really as I posted, my leak was there for years is what the factory told me, the roof is one piece they unbolt it to remove and reinstall, left all sides standing just removed the front and back caps. Watched them do it
They do it with a crane.
