RV Comparison Guides Book

Wondering if this book is really worth purchasing - RV Comparison Guides by JR Consumer Resources.

There is such a wealth of information on the net and forums for every make possible. Not like you are buying a unit every year. Probably just a few pages in the book for a specific unit that may point out potential pros and cons that may or may not apply in your specific case? After reading info on the specific unit, then what value is there in the remaining content for the individual since it covers so many manufacturers?

Or am I way off here with what this book can offer? Would I learn more from this book than the info gained from individuals who actually own the units?

Just wondering?

I go by the general thought process of; If you know where or how to look, you can find the answer you want for free. These books just do the legwork for you. Google and Wikipedia are your friends. Just don't trust everything on them. Get second, third and fourth opinions when possible...

When I was looking for my 5er, I bought 6 books and thought about the one you asked about. I did get it and it was usefull with the discriptions of the companies that make then etc. Much can be gotten from the internet. I spent over $100 on Rv books durning my 17 month search, but that is not much when you spend $30,000 for a fiver and I consided it money well spent.
