RV Direct and Tradein's

We have been reading all the posts concerning RV Direct buying experiences. We are just about ready to purchase a Sunseeker 2860DS and have a 2006 Double Tree 5th wheel tradine. What are your experiences on RV Direct tradein's. Do they give you a fair value?

Thanks in advance folks

Not sure if this helps you or not...but here is my experience with RVDirect. I used them to simply price out a new Windjammer that I currently have on order through a local dealer. When I priced out the new one on RVDirects website, I had the quote sent to me, and then called the representative and talked my trade.

My local dealer was "going to show me" $9500 for my 2004 TT, and RVDirect told me about $4000. Obviously, the $4000 was coming off a very drastically reduced price...and the $9500 was coming off a close to MSRP price.

In the long run, I stayed with my local dealer after they MATCHED what RVDirect was going to sell the camper to me for...with ALL of the Options that I had chosen. PLUS I got a new Equalizer Hitch and an outdoor grill thrown into the mix.

My experience with RV Direct trade in went very well. They had no problem showing me the book value of my trade in, in the NADA guide for RV's. You can also view this guide on line at NADA, but at the time I was unaware that there was a guide for RV's. Anyway, I was treated very fairly by them. I have also heard from others locally, who have purchased from them, that they were treated very fairly. Good luck in you quest!
