RV Direct Extended Warranty

Does anyone have the Extended Warranty offered by RV Direct? Who is the underwriter? What is and isn't covered? Is it a good purchase?

We were notified that our TT was almost ready and it is time to make final payment. I know I am going to add the second year coverage from FR for $150 but trying to decide on the extended warranty?????

Ideas, imput suggestions

Really, it depends on how handy you are at fixing stuff. Most extended warranties are not worth purchasing, most have a small deductible you must also pay per covered repair, and I've found that on the things I purchased the ext. war. on, stuff always either never broke, or the thing that did break happened to be the one thing that the warranty doesn't cover!! In the 3 years I have owned my camper, I have found that almost everything is an easy fix, usually fuses or loose wires/bad connection. The only thing I have had replaced under warranty was the famous Concertone radio that almost everyone on here has had some problem with. I think if your'e at least a little bit of a do-it-yourselfer, and you use this forum for any problems that come up- (ask questions, most of the time, someone will know how to fix it). Also, remember almost all of the camper's appliances have their own manufacturer warranties, that are usually longer than the For.Rvr. one year standard. Good luck with your decision, and Happy camping!! Randy

I agree. The warranty we were offered was very expensive and had a deductable. If you can fix most small problems yourself you should bank the money. I did go for the 2nd year warranty for th $150.00. It doesn't cover much but is is good peace of mind.

I purchased the extra year, as well. Hey, for 150 bucks, it's cheap insurance. BUT... farther than that, it gets pricey quick. I elected NOT!!
What are you talking about above, threegr8katz?? I have no earthly clue. Randy
