RV Insurance

I just received our renewal for the TT. We are currently with Nationwide. The premium was nearly $800 dollars.

Does this sound about average? Any recommendations for a different company?

Thanks,

This piqued my interest so I requested a quote from Progressive. $531 annually for the cheapest policy on a 36' TT at $23.5K value. 805 credit score, no accidents EVER (knock on wood), 1 small $300 claim($1300-$1000 ded) EVER, 12 years same address and 12 years same job. Not sure how you are getting $230 a year but you better keep that policy.

Ouch!

Before Progressive I had a policy through Foremost (through my Farmers agent) that was $365 a year (had Actual Cash Value coverage) and got quoted by Auto Club of CA at the time at $300 a year. Even Good Sam insurance was around $300. This is about the only time I've heard of CA insurance being cheaper than another state (aside from maybe NY or NJ)

Do you have car policies with them as well? I know that makes a difference, but I'm not thinking that would cut the rate in half!!!!

I was also shocked when shopping around. My auto/home is with Allstate. They quoted $1800 a year for the MH. I checked around and Progressive was $455 a year with top-notch coverage... very happy with my choice.

Just talked with Progressive. Only explanation they could give was maybe they had a lot of claims from people in my area??? I'm not buying it, but it is what it is.

Our new 2015 Heritage Glen is $269/yr with State Farm with $100 deductible. Have several other policies with them. We were honestly annoyed with the overall hike from our prior camper (very literally double per year now). Price hike is attributed to the magnitude of RV claims in last few years (especially last year) where wild storms and tornadoes have hit hard.

$745 for a 34' 2010 Class C with Progressive. We had a water damage claim on the Stealth TH, and almost a year later, Progressive is still trying to get either Cornerstone or FR to cough up the money for our deductible. I guess Progressive feels that 2 massive water leaks on a maiden voyage is a sign of poor workmanship.

Our 2015 sabre 36qbok is $147 every 6 months with a $1000 deductible.
We have Oklahoma Farm Bureau with 250/500/250 coverage, and this is on our auto policy with 6 other vehicles.
And we had one camper totaled by hail and storm damage in summer of 2013. And it was a 2013 puma 5er, 10 months old.
