Rv show today

I don't know if it's just me or the fact that I have gotten so used to our trailer...nothing I saw today would make me trade our trailer off. It literally is perfect for our family and how we camp/travel. It's almost disappointing going to these shows. Few bunkhouse plans were nice but overall weight and length would prevent us from pulling and getting into some of the spots we like around home. With that said a 3/4 is going to be the next purchase and 1 5er does stand out for our family. Just not enough to make me want to splurge!

IMHO - Until you trade your truck for something larger, you'll always be looking for something that your truck is capable off pulling. I loved my RAM 1500 - until I finally traded for a 3500. It was only then that a great big, wide and varied world of fifth wheels were even a consideration. That's when we had a jolly good time trying on all kinds of trailers, at all kind kinds of weights.....without worrying how we were going to get it up over the next big hill

I upgraded to 3/4 ton in 2011. I'm now about to upgrade to a dually. I could of got the dually when I bought the 3/4 ton, very little difference in price.
I would get the 1 ton and be done with it. It never hurts to have too much tow vehicle anyway.
Just my 2 pennies.

I was at the same show today and tend to agree. There are certainly very large and nice trailers, but of those in my size/price range I have a great floorplan. Many of the floor plans are so similar the start to run together. There is a Prime Time model I like but of course it wasn't at the show today.
