RV shows

I didn't see a thread about this year's RV Shows. If the is something on the forum this post can be moved as needed.

So we want to the Columbus. Ohio RV show today. That was one of the smallest shows ever! We usually find 1 or 2 units that are new, or tempting. Zero here for the 30 foot bumper pull, or even a nice 5er. Forest River had nothing there
at all!

Our friends found a Vintage Gulf Stream TT they really liked and actually ordered.

Glad we weren't seriously looking to upgrade today.

We went as well. We would have been better off just browsing the units at the dealerships on routes 36/37. Hopefully the next show in a week or so at the fairgrounds will be worth the price of admission.

We thought Columbus show was a bust!!! It sucked. We just bought a new 2019 and we’re looking for vendors and there was only about half a dozen vendors and they really had nothing to do with camping or RVs. I do know that there will be some Forest River stuff at the show in Dayton on the weekend of the 24th.

Yes, we will be going. We are not camping there, however.

We went to the Wisconsin RV "Super Show" in Milwaukee yesterday. Yeah, not so super. Everything similar to our TT had floor plans much like ours, which seemed kinda unique last year when we bought it. Must be popular. Everything else we looked at from larger tow behinds and 5ers looked like cookie cutter replicas of each other. We'll be at the show in Madison a month from now. Last time we were there it was a much larger show than this one. We ain't looking to buy. More or less just looking for new ideas and something to do during the winter.

We will be going to the Tampa show again. We've going for two days each year for the last five years.
It doesn't cost anything to look.
Each year we get a little more focused so as to not walk so much; or maybe our legs give out sooner.

The shows are nice , but. There are hardly any Venders of the things that we use or want to upgrade in our RVs. I go to a lot of car shows in the course of a year and see all the latest upgrades you can make if you choose to do that. Nice just to see what changes they have. None of the RV Shows I have been to Including Hershey, had any venders with things like that other then stuff for your S&B or little things you could use.

The IX show in Cleveland is always great. May have already occurred. Boat show is right around the same time.

Shreveport, LA is having a boat, RV and sport show Jan 18, 19, 20. More info can be obtained thru Google...Shreveport boat, sport and RV show. This is an annual event at this time of year and will be my first. Never interested in the past then daughters convinced us we need one. 80k later we have a new TV and TT.

https://www.wnyrvshow.com/ We found our Hemisphere here last year. Lots of inventory inside and outside. No admittance fee was nice since we went a couple days to narrow our choices.

There is a small RV show at the Macomb Community College Expo Center in Roseville Michigan from January 11 to 13. $3 to enter usually put on by General RV . Not bad way to kill a couple of hours on a January day. It usually gets me thinking about summer trips.

Most of the time RV shows these days are nothing more than a showroom for the local dealers to bring all of their overstock to a large place so they can display them to dump them.

Ever notice how most large cities now have several per year instead of just one?

The only reason I'm going to the Quartzsite, AZ RV show in a couple of weeks is because of the free lunch provided by the manufacturer of my RV as they are also hosting a Meet & Greet for the Owner's Club.

It will be good to see some of my campin' buddies again!

Otherwise...I'd stay home and watch 'Blue Bloods' reruns on ION...

I'm not looking to buy anything...so for me RV shows are a big waste of time.

Far too many of my friends fall for the 'gotta have this new one' every time they go to an RV show...only to wish they had kept the last one!

Don't waste your time unless you just want something to do. Disappointment going there.
