If you google up some older brochures on smaller rigs from the 50's and 60's you will see that they weren't calles travel trailers, they were CAMPERS!!!
My first rig was a brand spankin new 1971 Midas Smokey 16' Low Flite, and it was always called a "camper". We went camping in the "camper".
And the "travel trailer" listed in the ads for the movie The Long Long Trailer was called a "Mobile Home"!!!
A TTMH ? A MHTT ?
My bwain just went "ouch" !!!

MH = Motor Home.

TH = Toy Tauler
5 ver = 5th wheel
PU = pop up
AF = Aframe pup up

Please call your MH a motorhome.

If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, quacks like a duck. It's a duck.

I forgot to add. A surge protector and an EMS are two different things. Each one performs a different job.
If we all use the same language it would make understanding what we are talking about a whole lot easier.
So, my MH isn't an RV, but my TT was? Get over it!!!

Here's a really good one...
Google up a 1969 Dodge D300 Sweptline "Pickup Camper"
Built on a 1 ton pickup frame, but is a one piece unit with a cab into camper pass thru.
So, a "motorhome" like a class c, or a "pickup Camper" but with no pickup bed?
And, the rear wall drops down like a toy hauler to forma a deck. But if you stored a small mtrcycle in there, would that make it a "toy hauler" ?
A MHPUCTH? MotorHomePickUpCamperToyhauler?
And, if you pull up brochures of the really high $$$ class a's, you'll see them listed as "Motor Coaches", NOT a "motorhome. Pull up a 2015 Equine Motorcoach brochure. Has a 4 horse stall in back. A Motorcoach Traveling Barn? MCTB?
OUCH!!!

My truck is also an 'RV' because I can go 4-wheeling in it...

How about motorcycles, quadrunners (are they still called that ), boats, jet skis...

Are they not all 'Recreational Vehicles'?

Perhaps the movie 'RV' should have been called 'Guy Who Knows Nothing Rents A Big Land Yacht'!

Although that doesn't roll off the tongue quite the same way...

But, "Land Yacht" indicates something that floats, thus bringing my post about MotorHomeHouseBoat, or the MHHB.

Land Yacht...not Water Yacht...

The name says it all!

However, in the movie Robin Williams does end up putting it in the water!

I stand corrected...google up a "Boaterhome". RV part detaches from the truck chassis and becomes a "Yacht", thus, a "Land Yacht" when on the road, and a "Yachtie" Yacht when in the wawa.
