RV760LMT + Camera
I pulled the trigger yesterday and ordered the Garmin RV 760LMT, there was the standard little Amazon add showing the camera so I ordered it as well. I didn't think the camera had been released yet and when I went to check out it did show a later ship date. Has anyone seen this or used this in real life yet. Did I waster $150.00?
Time will tell on the camera but I am looking forward to a gps improvement.

Do you have a link to the camera? I'm clueless, but curious...

Now I'm stalking these RV threads. How do you like the camera attachment/kit/whatever...?

I just purchased this unit and haven't used it on a trip yet. I found it easy to setup and I like its ability to be voice activated. I didn't purchase the camera as my RV was factory equipped with both the rear and side camera system.
Good luck.

I received the camera just before our last trip. I needed to add an extension but did not get it ordered in time. At this point I have not had the chance to use the camera. Next spring when I get the 5er out I will hook it up and let you know.

I have the camera kit and it seems to work just fine.
The issue I have right now is the best way to power it.
It can be powered "always on" and placed in the camper's rear window. You then toggle the camera display on and off with a touch to the screen.
It can also be toggled on and off via power from the "reverse lights" line on the Bargman, but the camera would only work while backing the camper. Using this connection, you don't need to touch the display at all; you just put the TV in reverse and the Garmin switches to camera feed automatically.

Lou, I wrestled with that idea as well. My previous RV was motorhome that had a backup camera in. I used it all the time driving down the road. it was very helpful in merging and lave changing. With these thoughts I decided to power it full time. I was not able to get good reception without a clear line of view with the Garmin camera and gps so I will have to use the extension cable. The good part about using the extension cable is I will be able to tap directly into the batteries to power the camera. That is the plan at this point.

I am also struggling with the "hard wire" install. I would also like to suction cup mount it and be able to move it to the cab for hook up. May just install a DC accessory outlet in the back of the camper to power while driving.

Being able to remove it and attach it to the truck would be nice. More things to think about.

Got some "waiting room" time coming up and will try to figure out the best way to do it. I will post photos when I get it solved (for me).

Hope that it is nothing serious giving you "waiting room" time. And how is your wife doing after the knee replacement last year?
