I have my CCW but I carry at ALL times when not in my home. That being said, I carry pepper spray in the TV and have a can of wasp spray at the door of the RV and on the side table when sitting outside. It gives you the option of stopping stupid without the loud noise but I still have the final option if necessary.

I carry pretty much anytime I leave the house. The prudent thing to do is have a plan. No matter what level of force you are trained and comfortable using. The rv is your only area that you have intimate knowledge of. Develope a plan, specific to your rv, your cg, be aware of your surroundings. Criminals are observing you all the time! It is their job!!! You will be less of a target if they know you are aware!

DW and I both have our CHL's, both have our own semi-autos. We keep them handy, and loaded at all times. I avoid IL.

live in tx....mostly camp in texas........carry everyday.....every person in my home is firearm proficient and every room has a firearm....they are all loaded....everyone in my house could pretty much pick up any firearm and put it in a safe condition or use it if needed.....

if traveling through another state or states i just check the reciprocity and laws of the stats im going through..

honestly that is ALWAYS my hope for a last resort........usually my 200lb dane is along as well.....i know he would protect us with his life....but never want that either.....

i would always hope to de escalate a situation to avoid using a firearm....but some situations obviously would not allow that so you have to have a plan and know WHAT you would do.....

that being said i feel like awareness and situational evaluation go a long way to avoiding bad elements ......sometimes when things dont look right or feel right its just not right......

Yes that is interesting. The one state in my region that does not reciprocate, so I avoid SC.

Although we maintain firearms at home and on our boat for self protection, when we're out campin' we leave 'em stored at home. Too many variables. Instead, we carry bear spray. Legal everywhere...and EFFECTIVE!...have you ever been hit with bear spray??! AAARRRRGGGHHHH!!! (please don't ask me how I know this...) It will stop anything in its tracks. Guaranteed.

Does not always work on people impaired by mind altering medications (crack, meth, bath salts etc.)
