I didn't know him personally either, but most on here seem to become a bit like family. I'm sure he will be missed more than we know.
My prayers go out to his family for peace and comfort.

Randy had been battling a long term illness and always kept a positive attitude despite his personal challenges. He was a great resource for members and a valued member of our site team. It was a privilege to get to know him and we deeply appreciate the time and effort he spent here at FRF. He will be profoundly missed.

As with others, I didn't know him but I feel the loss through the kind words of the others here.

So sorry to hear of his passing. I know that he has left many memories that can not be taken away. Sometimes we ask ourselves why, but it is not our choice. He will be there around the big campfire in the sky. Prayers go out to the family during this time.

Lady Windrider again. Thanks so much for all your kind words, condolences, and most especially your prayers. Randy was battling his 3rd round of cancer, esophageal this time for the 2nd time (had it in 2003 @ beat it). The tumor was fast growing, eventually closing his throat and pressing on his windpipe. He underwent surgery to have a tracheostomy and a G-tube in his stomach for nutrition. He had had 2 kinds of chemo, and was going for radiation every day. He couldn't talk except on the computer and he tried to keep up as much as he could. He was fighting hard to the very end but even the most spirited warriors get weary. His body just couldn't go any more. Randy passed at home in my arms and is now at rest and free of pain. Again, thank you for your sympathies.
