Safe/strong box
I’m looking for a small safe that doesn’t weigh a ton. Just to store passports (should we venture into Canada), some emergency cash, and an item I’m prohibited from mentioning. It needs to be securable for obvious reasons.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

I would recommend you look at the Liberty Safe Company safes. There safes are top notch and you won't be disappointed. They are the only safes I trust.

Just a suggestion (coming from a Canadian).....but not only are you prohibited from mentioning....it’s just plain prohibited. Not mentioning it, and having it found can have serious repercussions.
Just mentioning.

I’ll check them out thanks. I have a couple of safes at the house, one of which can be taken with me, but it’s just a little too big to be bolted in the spot I’ve scoped out for it. Plus it’s heavy.

Thank you, Canadian friends. Our upcoming trip won’t take us near Canada, but future ones might. Thank you for the reminder.

I thought that 'something unmentionable' was now legal in Canada...

Take a look at consolevault.com. Take everything out of your armrest console and puts 12 ga safe in its place using factory mount points.
Absolutely love https://www.consolevault.com

Thanks, I’ll take a look. I probably should have mentioned it’s for my TT, but the center console in my tow vehicle does tend to become a catch all for stuff. This would eliminate that.

X2 at looking at what "Liberty" safe has to offer. Top notch safe, and company. Got one at home for storing my "Unmentionables".

X2, depending on what the unmentionable is. Don't get caught with an undeclared firearm at the Canadian border. Especially a handgun.
If it's some other category of unmentionable, can't help you there.

Depends on what the unmentionable is....but capacity and length are the biggest issues on one unmentionable. That, and forgetting to declare it.
Another unmentionable is now legal, if you're of legal age (could depend on province). You're also restricted on quantity (differs if dry, edible or liquid).

Seems there’s more than one “mentionable” when we’re talking about “something unmentionable”
Guess it depends on if you load it or smoke it.

It may be legal in Canada but bringing it back into the USA could be trouble.

This one, from Harbor Freight, is what we have. It is plenty big for passports and emergency cash, but not so big that it is unwieldy or difficult to conceal.

There are a ton of hidden blind spots in most RVs. I promise you I could take handful of papers and 5 minutes and it would be hard to find then knowing they were there. The unmentioned item not included.
