Salem Villa Estate Freeze Up

Hello all. Last winter was the first winter for me and my trailer. I, to say the least, was not prepared for winter. My fresh water froze and the water in the drains froze. I made the mistake of letting the fresh water run and leaving the black water valve open. Yep, the drain flex line froze solid. Luckly nothing busted. I could not stay in it for a week till it thawed out. I am looking for advice to prevent this from happening this comming winter. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ron

do you leave it heated? what model do you have? on mine the lines from the hot water tank area and under the floor to the shower were freezing up. i took the pannel off under the shower and put a vent in instead. that with heat tapes on the city water line and on the sewer lines worked for me. I was also skirted.

Trailer Freezeing Up

Thanks very much for your reply. My trailer is exactly like yours. I bought mine just four months before you bought yours. The grill at the shower is a great idea and I will be doing that on mine. I know that I need to do a skirt, either partial or the whole trailer. Is your skirt a custom made one just to fit the trailer or did you make it yourself?
Thanks,
Ron
