sand bags

this is certainly not an earth shattering idea, but we had never thought of it before and it solved our wind problem yesterday, so I thought it was worth sharing,.......we always put out our RV mat with a tarp underneath it and have a set of the long spikes with large washers to use when the wind wants to keep blowing up the edges, like it did yesterday, .....but in this campground we're sitting on pavement so we can't use the spikes,..... as at other times we begin looking for anything heavy to hold down the edges of the tarp(fire wood pieces, rocks, ect.) the idea of sand bags came to mind and you can see the results, one gallon zip-lock bags worked perfectly, we filled them with gravel/sand/dirt that was on our site and problem solved,.....we'll empty them when we leave and we now have a quick, easy, and cheap solution to the wind problem when we can't use the spikes.................

That's a good idea! I have taken to use ZipLoc bags filled with water for various weight needs.

Good idea. Usually use rocks but the dogs end up moving them.
