Satellite dish?

My tt came with a satellite dish, how does this work? I am completely naive on this. What do I need other than a tv?

Can you post a picture of your dish?

A receiver box depending on the company of the dish will depend which one you need.

I do not know all things but I have never seen a TT that came with a satellite dish. You might have one of the newer round Over-the-Air TV signal antennas. If you'll post a picture, one of our experts will tell you what you have.

That's the TV antenna I believe, not satellite.

Yes...it appears that it is an omnidirectional Tv antenna. In the TT should be a "booster/cable" switch. Make sure booster is "on", turn on Tv set (menu) to antenna and do a channel scan. If you have park cable hookups, turn booster "off", change Tv setting to cable (menu) and scan for channels again.

Did you buy this TT new?

If so, my apologies to you for the dealer not taking the time to show you and teach you what all the things on your unit are and what they do.

It baffles my mind that a dealer would let someone go off their lot who admits being naive about things, without explaining everything.

You did come to the right place for help though. When you have other questions, post as much information as possible (including pictures, model numbers and make, model and year of unit) and someone here will be glad to help out.)

You can watch the over the air channels, not like cable. Depending on where you are you might get 0 channels or 40.

I believe it will get any local, digital channels. I am new to all this too. You should check out the thread I've been posting in trying to figure out what I need to get satellite tv in mine!
