Satisfied Customer

I took my new TT in for it's first warranty work. Most of it was minor, all of it got done more or less. They fixed the front door latch, fixed the drawers that wouldn't stay closed, they replaced a grommet so a back cover would stay on and the only other thing was my dinette. The freestanding back, made a crack and was leaning back. I asked that it be beefed up and I included 4 pieces of 2X12 (about 16" sq.) and a piece (4 ft) of 1X10. I just thought as long as I had the wood left over, they might use it to reinforce the outside dinette section. I look at the dinette section and they only added a couple of screws. I'm a little disappointed but satisfied. FR allowed me to purchase a second year warranty. I ordered 2, 6 volt batteries before I took delivery. I was very pleased when I opened the covers for the batteries and found they had installed Trojan T105's. I was expecting Interstate or Delco. I finally found out they put in a 3 stage controller, my batteries registered 12.2 on my voltmeter so I pluged the TT into l20v I have at the house and left it over night. The controller is supposed to charge at 14.4, 13.6 and 13.2. I figured if my batteries showed it was almost full, it must of charged at the higher rate, for at least long enough to help it along. After 12 hours, I checked the voltage and it was 13.7. That meant that it was still charging at higher than the float amperage. It's only a 55 amp controller so I didn't expect it to complete the job. I ended up wanting to treat my Trojans with care and bought a battery charger that would top out at 15 volts. I put it on and ran it an hour and it showed 100% charge. I'm a happy camper.... no new battry monitor, no new controller, no new solar cell and solar controller. I did buy a hydrometer and a Mr. Heater so I don't have to depend on my heater alone. Brrrr winter is moving closer and closer...... I'm dragging my TT to Ca. so I can visit it a couple of times this winter....
