Savannah Georgia
Looking for a nice clean campground in or very close to
Savannah Georgia . There is a antique car race making a lunch
stop there on June 28th . Plan on staying a week so need full
hookups . also are there a lot of bugs that time of year .
Thank you for any help on this .

Try Fort McAllister - my nephews just came back from there and said it was great....

IMO...the state park campgrounds are much nicer than any of the private campgrounds in that area but no FHU at state parks.
That time if year is going to be very buggy, especially next to the coast...be prepared with your insect arsenal

Yes Skidaway and MacAllister are both nice SP.... you will battle some nats ..but not a big deal for us.. Skidaway now has some FU sites for $40 per day.

Just returned from Skidaway Island SP and it is really nice. Had full hook ups. We have stayed at Tybee Island, but Skidaway is by far the best.

RV Park Reviews is a good website to locate RV parks. We have stayed in Hardeeville RV park twice. Clean, large sites and the closest park to downtown Savannah. Just across the bridge into South Carolina. Passport America Park if you are a member. Full hookups, cable and Wi=FI.

X3 on Skidaway State Park. We stayed there last year, and have reservations for a full hook up site this year. I think the sand gnats are just a fact of life.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone, I just booked Memorial Day weekend at Skidaway. So far I have 3 camping trips reserved for this season and looking for lots more.

Last year we stayed at Rivers End in Tybee Island. It's a block from the ocean. Nice place.
