The results at 3 hours of resting in the water with minor agitation (lifting with the back end of a marker for photo purposes) is:

1) Charmin Ultra Strong is just starting to break up, but not by much

2) Kirkland is just starting to break up, but not by much

3) Scotts is basically completely broken down (though, this was incredibly thin to start)

4) Charmin Ultra Soft is just starting to break up, but not by much

5) Cottonelle (our brand) is completely solid

We'll test again at 24-hours.

If we have time, we'll redo the test with TP in the water for some period of time and will shake vigorously.

I'd love to have had time to run for RV TP and/or some of the Digest It like John uses. BUT... we've procrastinated.

Never gave it much thought, it is just going into a holding tank and then out with the assistance of the black tank flush.

Consumer Reports did a rating on TP not too long ago. White Cloud 3-ply Ultra won over all, including on "break down". I need to get some of it next time I go... to the store that is.

Now the question is, are you going to take the unused portion of the 2nd place or worse products back to the store?

Sounds right, but would never win at the Science Fair.

Same here - I bought some from Amazon, but have yet been out to try it out. What are your "results" so far? From what I have read, it is supposed to eat anything - they advertise you can use whatever TP you like.

LOL, nah- we simply took 20 squares off of each roll. Nothing to return that way.

(I feel like I should clarify that we got family and friends to give us unused toilet paper for this. We didn't buy a bunch of samples. )

Personally I think a small piece of Baby Ruth (the candy bar) should have been added to each sample to give it a touch of realism.
