Science fair time - which toilet paper is best for RVs?

We have a set of 5 samples (ironically none of which is an actual "RV-specific" TP), we are testing which breaks down the best out of the 5.

So far we have checked at 30 seconds, 1, 2, 5, 10, 30, and 60 minutes. Next check is at 3 hours and then a full day later.

Scotts is winning by far- but I can't imagine actually using it, it's so thin and barely there! (Yes, my large derrière is a toilet paper snob!)

I'd love to see this at our school science fair. Finally, a useful experiment! And something we can all learn from.

Which is in second? Are there any two-ply in the experiment?

I have a clear elbow on the drain and every time I use 2-ply paper in the bathroom I will have a temporary blockage caused by TP near the end of the black tank dump. A temporary blockage always freaks me out. I just don’t use 2-ply anymore.

I always thought you were supposed to put the tp in a jar of water and let it soak for 2 minutes and then shake it to see if it dissolved or broke up.

I've heard the same, but I don't shake my camper when I dump so we're improvising.

It's obvious from the drawing that someone takes their tablet with them in the bathroom...Doug.

Just the normal water flow and movement in a trailer will agitate it.

We have:

#1. Charmin Ultra Strong (2 ply)
#2. Kirkland brand (2 ply)
#3. Scott (single ply)
#4. Charming Ultra Soft (2 ply)
#5. Cottonelle (thick 1 ply)

We apparently only use single ply- we're Cottonelle snobs and only use it. I never actually knew it was 1-ply because it's so thick.

Tablet? Rarely! My phone, almost always.

The drawing started with a phone, it was just too small for inking with the markers.

Easiest thing is to use whatever your rear likes and throw it in a trash can. We have never thrown tp in the commode in our camper.

I have to say, a trash can with poop covered TP makes me throw up a little in my mouth. It's bad enough we have to do it with baby diapers that can make my stomach churn. We bag them and sometimes even double bag them. To each his own.

There is only 2 of us and one bm/da/person doesn't fill a trashcan and it doesn't smell. TOWTA has done this her entire life. Me, when not in the trailer, it goes down the commode and we've been on a septic tank for the last 14 yrs.

YIKES!! If I put my toilet paper in the trash can no one would ever be able to use the bathroom again...ever.

X3
Our neibors throw thiers in the trash at thier house......nasty in my opinion.
I would pay to have my black tank changed every year if needed so I could put tp in it.
Ps..we like the scotts rv paper, I think we had a 2 ply though. Never any problems

Interested to see these results. We've been experimenting with the RV Digest It chemical by Unique and it seems to eat everything as it advertises. I haven't seen any tp in the clear elbow, nor any solids since we started it, and we're using some pretty thick Scott's stuff right now.
