The results at 3 hours of resting in the water with minor agitation (lifting with the back end of a marker for photo purposes) is:

1) Charmin Ultra Strong is just starting to break up, but not by much

2) Kirkland is just starting to break up, but not by much

3) Scotts is basically completely broken down (though, this was incredibly thin to start)

4) Charmin Ultra Soft is just starting to break up, but not by much

5) Cottonelle (our brand) is completely solid

We'll test again at 24-hours.

If we have time, we'll redo the test with TP in the water for some period of time and will shake vigorously.

I'd love to have had time to run for RV TP and/or some of the Digest It like John uses. BUT... we've procrastinated.

Never gave it much thought, it is just going into a holding tank and then out with the assistance of the black tank flush.

Consumer Reports did a rating on TP not too long ago. White Cloud 3-ply Ultra won over all, including on "break down". I need to get some of it next time I go... to the store that is.

Now the question is, are you going to take the unused portion of the 2nd place or worse products back to the store?

Sounds right, but would never win at the Science Fair.

Same here - I bought some from Amazon, but have yet been out to try it out. What are your "results" so far? From what I have read, it is supposed to eat anything - they advertise you can use whatever TP you like.

LOL, nah- we simply took 20 squares off of each roll. Nothing to return that way.

(I feel like I should clarify that we got family and friends to give us unused toilet paper for this. We didn't buy a bunch of samples. )

Personally I think a small piece of Baby Ruth (the candy bar) should have been added to each sample to give it a touch of realism.

You'd be amazed that you're NOT the first person to make the same recommendation!

I did draw and label "poop" on the diagram.

So far, I like the stuff. We went this route opposed to the geo method due to the fact we're sitting in one spot for months, and dumping once a week. It never sees any sloshing other than what hits the tank from the toilet. The Digest It feeds off all the crap you put in the tank. When we dump, it comes out more like a chocolate milkshake. One thing to note though, since it feeds off of poop, if you have a spotless tank, it won't start working until you give it something to eat.

We did find a motor home with a bidet at the last show.

That would take the whole issue off the table... I really need to think of a better way of saying that.

We normally use White Cloud and it works well. However,p if one of the other brands are on sale, I get that. Have never had a blockage problem and I stopped using chemicals a year or so ago. I do flush my tank thoroughly each time I dump.

We use cottonelle 2 ply. Using powdered chemicals this totally broke down over 5 days of use. Have never used anything special in either RV or Park Model tanks.

We have and always will only use TP with "APT" Technology. APT = Anti Poke Through.

OC, that is just wrong in so many ways. Is that what you have been doing with all those extra awning hold down poles? I guess they are good for holding down and picking up. Gross.
