Hello,
I did a forum search and could not find what I was looking for. My question is do people carry their scooters in the pickup truck bed? If so, how to secure?

We are looking at 2 scooters (125-150cc) and would carry them in the truck bed (8ft).

The easiest thing to do would be to use a cable lock through the stake holes in the bed or have eyes mounted for them.

Depending on which "secure" you are after. Keeping them from being stolen, the cable lock works well. When my wife and travel overnight on our scooters we at least lock them together, better if we can also lock them to a post. If secure is keeping them upright and not falling over, you could either use handlebar straps (High Roller Handlebar Harness - Motorcycle Superstore) or get a couple of wheel chocks and mount them on a sheet of 3/4 plywood cut to fit the bed of the truck. I use both to secure our scooters in our utility trailer.

Thank you. Yes, I should have defined "secure". My meaning was for them to ride safely and securely in the bed of the pickup truck.

You can get some wheel lock chocks. For once Harbour freight actually has a decent product that does well. Bolt it to bed, roll the scooter in strap the wheel to it and off ya go. The chocks are like 50.00 each.

I carry mine on a platform that is bed rail high.....from one side to the other.....If the 'Hulk' wants it, he can have it..,it's 300lbs!....
