Easy to remember as it is the only incident we've ever had. Don't know that our 2 boys (little angels that they were) didn't precipitate it by running to the little Coleman cooler (yes, the little pink one that mysteriously ended up in front of FT Turb's trailer in Goshen) all day grabbing Pepsi's/ice before going to the sprint car races.

I'm glad no one here can tell stories about me in my younger days.
As for now I lock the door but nothing else. Grill cooler heck I would loose the keys to the golf cart if I took them out. We never lock the door if I'm home but I almost have a deterrent close by. Steal it if you must but don't let me catch you.

I'm glad to see that there is a nice variety of security levels here. Much like any neighborhood I suppose. There is always that guy that has a security camera on every corner of his house, roof, chimney and fence. I guess the moral of the story here is just don't be that guy. You know, the one who sits watching his security DVR in all of his spare time. Life happens and even the best security does get trumped at times, as someone had mentioned previously. Doesn't mean you shouldn't be cautious, just find the balance.

First time to get burned was last year in LA. Had a toolbox and a suitcase taken right out of our storage. Toolbox had about $1000. worth of tools, at least that's what they cost me to replace. The suitcase had clothes and meds, meds were a PIA to replace. We were getting ready to leave the area and went for one last walk. When we got back the storage door wasn't shut, they must have been watching as we were away from the site for maybe 10 minutes. Everything is locked now when truck and RV will be out of sight.

We don't lock often, 30+ years of camping nothing stolen so far. Nothing we have is much worth stealing. Grill is old, chairs are old, I'm getting there..... give me a good excuse to get new ones..... Do take the keys from the golf car & lock the truck at night. Only thing I hear much about getting stolen is ever now & then coolers left out with beer..... teenager opportunists.........

I agree 100% Location, Location, Location.......

Our Security Manager & her assistant take care of the rest
