Lightbulb Separate batteries for dedicated use

My local RV shop said I could install extra batteries that would be wired directly to my satellite dish, satellite receiver, DVD/HDD recorder and big screen TV. Purpose is so I would always have 15 amps available to those items while the original batteries and amps would power everything else (except A/C). Therefore, I would have 30 amps from batteries, not just 15. Has anyone tried that?
