Sewer hose storage

Just purchased a legacy SR 340 38C and have a question as to where you experienced guys store the sewer hose, just stored it in the back bumper on the fiver.

Rough surface of the inside of the bumper will eat up the hose and the moisture will promote rust in the bumper. I used the PVC fence post holder method. Do a forum search for Sewer Hose storage and you will find hours (if not days) of reading materials.

Congratulations on the new Camper!

I use a tote I purchased at home depot. Keeps both hoses, clear 45, 90 elbow, and sidewinder fairly organized. Stored as far away from my fresh water tote as I can!!

I'm an X2 on the 5" PVC fence post sewer hose holder. Best thing I ever did for our sewer hoses and fittings. I added the piece of PVC gutter to it, like a lot of others have done, as well. I keep a 20' and a 5' Rhino hose and all the fittings stored in it.

the back bumper is fine, unless you want to get a little more fancy. been putting hose in bumper for over 30 years, no issues. If you keep the unit long enough the flimsy 'bumper' will show signs of wear and rust no matter what, hose or no hose inside.

A number of Legacy owners have added a wire shelf above the propane tank and store their sewer hoses in a plastic tote on the shelf. See post #17 in the Legacy mods and improvements thread over in the the Legacy discussion.

On our older motorhome we used a plastic tub. With our current camper we keep it in the bumper with the 90 deg elbow and dirty cloves in a small tub.
