Sheets for the queen bed
We have a queen sized mattress in our new travel trailer, and the end of it is hanging off the box. I wonder how you all handle the flat sheet. Are you able to tuck it in or do you leave it out?
Advice, please

First of all, let me tell you NOT to get any Microfiber sheets. They may be cheapo at Wally World, but they will slide right off your mattress.
Ok, I have the same problem, probably not as bad as yours. Class C, the bed mattress comes six inches off the end of the platform. I can KIND OF tuck the sheets in, but they eventually come out. Kind of a pain.

has anyone tried sewing the flat to the bottom of the fitted?

We used elastic straps with alligator type clips that would attach under the mattress of the kids bunks. it was the only effective way to keep the bottom sheet on all night. I don't recall where wifey got them but I'd try Welfare Mart or maybe Camping World.

Is your mattress a full, queen or king? If it is a queen, is the length 75" (standard on sleepers) or 80" which is a standard queen. It it is the 80" length...get fitted sheets. They work great.

bed sheets
We have a king bed. gave up on the cheaper STANDARD size mattress covers, sheets etc. Broke down and got the proper ones for a 75 inch bed at camping world. The clips mentioned are available at Bed Bath and Beyond. The biggest complaint we had was making the bed. Solution sleep the other way around, feet to the wall. the only thing to get used to is keeping the pillow on the bed. Once mastered it's easy to make.

It is a pain in the neck....no solution from me except to try not to get aggravated about it. In our last TT we had an underneath that lifted up so that was great but not in the motor home..

We sew our sheets together. It's bulkier to store, but there's no worry about tucking things in and our feet always stay warm!

Also, I sew an old towel or extra material to blankets to give them sufficient length to stay tucked in. To make the bedspread easy to pull on and center, I sew the bottom corners into fitted squares. Makes it neater and easier to pull it all together in the small bedroom space.

When we had a queen, it was what they called a short queen...we would order online set for a short queen made for RVs.....the flat sheet was made like the fitted sheet at the foot but was a flat sheet for all other purposes...that way it was no problem keeping it tucked in...worked great.

If you have the short RV queen I wish you luck with whatever to try. 
I hated the one we had so much when we up-graded I would not even consider looking at a TT unless it had the 60" X 80" queen.

We've got a 60x74 shortie walkaround queen, we just pulled it down to the entertainment center, put a body pillow at the head to fill the gap, and used deep pocket double sheets. Has worked pretty well so far. And we can still access the storage underneath.

We use just regular sheets from the house... aleady had them, not expensive and just tuck them in. They stay pretty well that way. even with two big doggies wanting to sleep with us.

My wife doesn't like the sheets tucked in at the foot of the (queen) mattress so they are folded up at the bottom and a king size comforter is used on top . It works for us.

Anyone ever try just adding a plywood extension board to the bottom of the bed(that extends to the end of the mattress)??

We did on our old Dutchmen - it had the bed head at the front with feet facing bath - no slide then
We added on to platform and put old mattress from house when we put new one in - worked great

I sew the bottom ends and about 6" up the sides of ours. Called a "people case" in our family. Problem solved.

Finding properly fitting sheets for the 'queen' size we have has been futile. Wasn't aware of the different lengths. Guess it's off to BB&B for the alligator clips!

When we had short queen mattress we would pull mattress out from wall and the fill the gap with several pillows as we are tall and didn't like our feet hanging off end of bed. K mart sells the elastic corner "garters" for the sheets. When we traded rvs we got fiver with reg queen mattress this time.
