Sign of spring being around the corner?

I was at Target tonight and saw that almost of the winter stuff was replaced with bikinis at the front of the store along with other spring related items for sale. It seems odd with so many people trying to dig out from under the snow even if we are not dealing with actual winter temps here.

I, too, am looking forward to spring, but don't let the stores' calendars be the benchmark. By the time Labor Day rolled around last September, it was already Christmas at WalMart

Well if we apply that same logic to when WalMart puts out their Christmas decorations (before Halloween) I'd say spring's quite a few miles and sever corners down the road.

That's not to say I'm not hoping for a short winter/early spring!

It's for the kept wives, girlfriends, and college girls going to sunny warm beaches in Jan thru March. AKA winter getaway and spring break. Leave the RV at home!

Menards joined the Wally World early holiday season bandwagon and did their Christmas decorations just after Halloween. Black Friday is a week long. Cyber Monday is a few days long. But sticking to your new year's resolutions is still only 1 or 2 days long.

Not really that unusual for the big box stores to be about 2-3 months early in their seasonal stock changeover - it's a big logistics thing for them to have the next seasons stock in all their stores before the next season is on the calendar.

True but the change over seems to get quicker each year. I still can't get used to hearing Christmas music at Kohls in early October - just not right. Besides in some ways it sort of a conflict of good & bad. Oh well, this is life in today's world.

So take advantage of it - there's usually a lot of sales to clear out the old season stuff.
